Generate Elevation Profile A GPX file (GPS Exchange Format file) is a text file containing GPS information such as tracks and waypoints. This site can convert a GPX file into a profile map by plotting the elevation of each track and waypoint. I use these profile maps during my bikepacking trips so I can estimate the difficultly of each section of the route. Units Metric (Kilometers/Meters) Imperial (Miles/Feet) Options Add waypoints from GPX file Add waypoints from database Add peak elevation waypoints Select GPX file to profile: You can find a variety of sample GPX files on Bikepacking.com www.bikepacking.com/ If your GPX files does not have elevation data, you can use this website to assign elevation to your GPX file. www.gpsvisualizer.com/elevation You can convert KML files to GPX by using this website. www.kml2gpx.com/
